Away this week

Friends, I grew up going to my grandparents' lake house in Eufaula, Oklahoma. After worship yesterday, my family packed up and drove the 2 1/2 hours southward to this nostalgic place. It is much nicer here now than when I was a kid, but the sunrise is the same. My wife and I just watched it. The kids are sleeping. She is reading her bible. It is a perfect peaceful morning.

I will be clipping up some of the videos I have already posted this week, but the bulk of my time is going to be spent with family. I'll get home Thursday evening so that I can film the next 'Considering Charlotte' segment and then do my live stream that afternoon. All that to say that my usual content production won't be very high this week. I'm sure all my supporters are actually glad to learn of my spending time with family. Thanks for all your support. I'll be back in the saddle properly next week!

I don't know why the live stream didn't work today. Here is what I did:

(Reuploaded) Live Stream from July 22

Reviewing Judicial Docket at the end.

Apparently Locals isn't processing my live streams this month. I'm not sure what the issue is. A supporter asked about this particular episode, so I uploaded it here for him (and anyone else who wants to go back).

A Pan-Methodist Approach to Gender & Sexuality - A Conversation w/ Debra Baty

Debra Baty is the head of Resources 4 Redemption, which is an effort aimed at spreading good information about sexual orientation and gender identity. She recently published an article about “sexual fluidity” and how it impacts our sanctification in Firebrand Magazine. It is a good piece, and Debra does worthy work. All believers in the West have to contend with the artificial ideas of the sexual revolution. There is nowhere we can go that these issues do not impact us. The only way out is through.

Debra has a personal story that is quite compelling. She is a trustworthy, thoughtful, and conscientious resource. All covenant Christian bodies need to know where they stand on these things, lest the evil one sow confusion. Now is the time to reflect upon these things. Days are coming when what we believe will be put to the test. If we have not prepared, then we cannot expect to prevail.

Local church work today. No live stream. Will plan on tomorrow.

Hey I need to just cancel the rest of the week of PlainSpoken programming. Mama and baby are in decent health, but attention is needed at home.

So that baby I have been expecting finally came. I’ll plan on talking about it on tomorrow’s live stream. But for today I need to cancel again so I can care for my wife and infant daughter.
