Jeremy and I have spoken before. Crosspoint, his church, has been doing a lot in the Alabama-Emerald Coast Conference of the GMC to multiply models of discipleship that are both vital and faithful. He has recently gotten to undergo a good deal of training at the general church level and can speak to how it is that GMC leadership currently understands these things to work.
His church is one of a few successful models of doing this. They are doing their part on the ground. I wanted to do what I could to circulate what he knows online. If you're interested in church planting and discipleship, you would do well to spend some time with us.
We are doing this live for two days in a row. Join us live to ask Jeremy questions. I'll do my best to field everything well.
I don't know why the live stream didn't work today. Here is what I did:
Reviewing Judicial Docket at the end.
Apparently Locals isn't processing my live streams this month. I'm not sure what the issue is. A supporter asked about this particular episode, so I uploaded it here for him (and anyone else who wants to go back).
Debra Baty is the head of Resources 4 Redemption, which is an effort aimed at spreading good information about sexual orientation and gender identity. She recently published an article about “sexual fluidity” and how it impacts our sanctification in Firebrand Magazine. It is a good piece, and Debra does worthy work. All believers in the West have to contend with the artificial ideas of the sexual revolution. There is nowhere we can go that these issues do not impact us. The only way out is through.
Debra has a personal story that is quite compelling. She is a trustworthy, thoughtful, and conscientious resource. All covenant Christian bodies need to know where they stand on these things, lest the evil one sow confusion. Now is the time to reflect upon these things. Days are coming when what we believe will be put to the test. If we have not prepared, then we cannot expect to prevail.
